Phoenix

Phoenix, oh phoenix

your wings of flame, burn brightly as ever

Phoenix, oh phoenix

I will be sad, when you go. But you will come back
 .
Phoenix, oh phoenix

you will rise with the sun on your back

Phoenix, oh phoenix

stand proud and let all who fear the light, flee and burn

Phoenix, oh phoenix

so shy and soft, you will always be

Phoenix, oh phoenix

where will you be?

Phoenix, oh phoenix

I await your return...

  1. You like to use the poetic device of anaphora, where you repeat a significant line over and over to emphasize a thing or phrase of value. There was a part of me that craved to know what the Phoenix triggered for you-- how you connected it to your own self...
